  3. Leap Day Leap

    March 6, 2012 by frogman2212

A shot of mine was featured on a live CNN broadcast about Leap Day in February!
On the morning of the 29th I received an email from a producer at CNN’s ireport saying that she had seen some of my levitation shots and that she wanted me to submit a photo to them for their leap day photography challenge!

Here is the link to the broadcast clip:

The photo was achieved with a combination of photoshop, friends and good balance from years of climbing trees! :)

  4. 100 Strangers

    February 28, 2012 by frogman2212

The Hong Kong Photography  Club had an outing last week which was called 5 strangers. The main goal of the outing was to approach 5 strangers and ask them if you could take their picture. You also had to try and get their names and a bit of a story. The outing was inspired by the 100 strangers website and flickr group following. Check it out here:

I managed to get 13 portraits of some very interesting characters near the Causeway Bay MTR. When approaching the strangers I tried to be as relaxed as possible so that they could feel the same. I feel so lucky to have met these cool characters, even though most of them were brief encounters – i only managed to get a story from one of the strangers, Rene(#13), who is a graphic designer and has been growing his dreads for over 9 years!WOW!

I used a 50mm lens to achieve the ‘look’you see below – it is the closest field of view to the human eye.

  6. Pecha Kucha Night Hong Kong

    February 24, 2012 by frogman2212

Ranging from photography to porcelain sculpture to mini-motorbike racing, PechaKucha (pe-chak-cha) is Japanese for “chit chat”. It is a way for creative people to share their work, passions and even obsessions with the community. 20 images, 20 seconds per image – this format keeps the presentations short and interesting.

I am so grateful for being asked to present – Here are my images from the night.
